2007
*I finally cut my hair as short as I wanted it
*I took my navel ring out
*We bought a house
*We got a dog
*Our dog had puppies
*The hubby got a new job
*I learned how hard it is to paint a ceiling
*We turned down two invitations to go on cruises with our friends (grr...no $$)
*I made a blog (yay!)
*We have decided to wait a little longer before having kids
*I learned a lot about myself
I think that's about it. The last one is probably the best thing I did all year.

oh, yeah..

Her name is Maya and we got her from a shelter in W.V. She was going to be put to sleep and once we saw her on petfinder, we just couldn't let that happen. She's approximately 1 y.o. and she is really very well behaved. She's still a pup and she's still learning the rules. However, my dear hubby started getting what we diagnosed as anxiety attacks once she came home. He's doing much better, but the only reason we have come up with for these anxiety attacks is that he had a Siberian Husky for 12 years and she had to be put to sleep a few years ago. It was a very difficult experience for him and we figured that Maya was bringing back memories of his dog.
But, we've all been healthy for a few days now and we're confident that will continue. Maya has brought us closer together. We take her for walks together and have something else besides ourselves to talk about now. The new responsiblility can be daunting, especially when we start discussing going on a trip or such, but we're excited to have a new member to our little family.
Ok, have I talked about my dog enough?
Other than that, I've just been busy with work and taking care of Maya and J. Looking forward to the upcoming holidays. We are hosting Thanksgiving this year, there will be more posts about that, I'm sure. I'm also behind on few projects that I had planned as Christmas gifts. Grrr...I just need a few extra hours in the day....

over it
I'm over it.
All of it.
All the feeling guilty about not keeping in touch with people and then feeling bad when they don't keep in touch with me.
I'm over feeling bad because I'm not usually motivated enough to come home from work and continuing to do things for work.
I'm over worrying about what everyone thinks.
This is me.
Sometimes I'm happy and bubbly, other days I'm the most miserable person you can meet.
I'm not the best at anything, but I can do a lot things.
I'm married, but I don't have kids yet and I'm not ready to have kids yet. If that makes me a bad person; whatever.
I wear my seat belt all the time.
I don't go out every weekend, but I know what's going on in the world.
I don't wear designer clothes, but I wear what I like.
I'm happy with the way I am and I'm done with feeling like that isn't always good enough.

kings, queens and fairies
Today we were off to the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. We saw the King and Queen

I ate a turkey leg
I even got to be a fairy for the day
It was quite a day! I would recommend it to anyone. Also, I saw several small knitted items that I would like to try. All in all, it was fun and inspiring.
